1. Consider environmental requirements.

2. Consider the cooling temperature requirements.

High temperature (low pressure), medium temperature (medium pressure), low temperature (high pressure) refrigerants are selected depending on the refrigerant temperature and cooling conditions. The standard evaporation temperature of the normally selected refrigerant is 10 ° C below the refrigeration temperature. The choice of refrigerant should also consider the cooling conditions, operating environment, etc. of the refrigeration unit. According to the thermal, physical and chemical properties of the refrigerant, those non-toxic, non-explosive, non-combustible refrigerants are selected; the refrigerant should be heat-transferd, the resistance is small, and the compatibility with the materials used in the refrigeration system is good.

4. Consider the type of compressor.

Different refrigeration compressors work differently. The volumetric compressor increases the pressure by reducing the volume of the refrigerant vapor. Generally, a refrigerant having a large capacity per unit volume, such as R134a, R22, etc., is selected. There are many types of refrigerants, along with advances in science and technology. New working fluids are constantly appearing to suit different refrigeration units.
